Thomas saw the stars tonight. Given that he’s a supper-at-5:30-bath-at-5:50-quick-story-in-bed-at-6:15 kind of a guy, this a first.

Exchange one: Thomas and his friend, Sophia (exactly the same age) are being chauffeured back from our local science museum by yours truly. Thomas starts ’singing’ a little ditty. ”No, Thomas, no,” shouts Sophia, “No singing.”
Exchange two: ”Wha’ ziz?” asks Thomas, pointing to a word. ”That word says ‘variety,’” replies Tony. ”No, no,” disagrees Thomas.
I think that this blog is giving a rather sanitized view of this whole parenting merry-go-round. This blog post on Finslippy provides an insight into the chaotic roller-coaster element. I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time. Ouch. It hits the spot.
