The drumstick was a hit.
He ate the whole thing. All of it. And some pumpkin pie!

Two will be half the work of one, right?

“Siblings without Rivalry” makes the following analogy to having a new sibling arrive.
‘Imagine that your spouse puts an arm around you and says, “Honey, I love you so much, and you’re so wonderful that I’ve decided to have another husband/wife just like you… When the new husband/wife finally arrives, you see that s/he’s very young [...]
Today we went to the city and Thomas was given some garden tools and instructed how to plant radishes. He did quite well given the session was mainly for 5 year olds. He was particularly taken with a boy called Max. Upon being introduced, Thomas promptly growled, “U’ll eat you up!” in reference to [...]
Thomas decided to join Theo on the playmat. “Um turning [into a] baby, too. Two Fios,” he explained.

We apologise that your tufts of beautiful auburn grass heads are rapidly diminishing, but Thomas really likes playing with them, and I indulge because it makes our walks so easy. The said grass head can be brandished at passers-by without any damage to their persons. They can be wafted in the air to see the [...]
Theo discovered his laugh last night and we found out that he is ticklish under his chin. A great moment for all concerned.
“Look, Mummy. Lots a’ birdies.”
“Yes. I see them flying over there. Lots of birds together are called a flock of birds.”
“No, Mummy. Not f-l-ock. (Pausing over the new word to sound it out carefully.) Pigeons!” was his withering response.
