Two will be half the work of one, right?
Alina, a former member of the babysitting co-op, brought her sister, Tessa, and parents back into town this week. Although she moved months ago, Thomas regularly asks about her. He was thrilled about meeting her at the zoo yesterday. He ran to her, gave her a big hug and said, “I missed you, ‘Lina.”
Thomas has just started gymnastics again. (We had a hiatus because it was too overwhelming for a bit.)
And for this session, now he’s 3, he trots off with Coach Katie and I sit at the side, and chat and read. Occasionally, I glance up to watch him.
“Look, Mummy, look. Ah did it all my byslef. [...]
Scene: Thomas in the bath, looking so cherubic I wanted to eat him right up - hair wet, ears delicately sticking out a little, his long, long lashes wet and perfect, rose bud mouth. A squeaky clean, utterly gorgeous imp of a 3-year old.

The co-op ‘babies’ are growing so fast: Cora celebrated her 1st birthday with a party at a local park.
The older siblings celebrated the best way they know how - by running.
Theo looked on in admiration, absorbing a glimpse into the future.

- Thomas playing games with him

- standing up (with our help)

And therefore I present to you the following conversation between me and my 10 day old infant, which I promise you is word-for-word what was said last night, around 3 [...]
Thomas and Theo are … um … interacting more. Which is a good thing. I think. But it’s sooooo hard for it not to go from hilarity to tears. A knife edge.
And in the split second as the shutter comes down … and in about the same amount of time I swoop and rescue Theo. [...]
