Two will be half the work of one, right?
Theo started pointing a few weeks ago. He loves to point at people and smile coyly if they respond with a smile. Pointing back also registers a grin. Touching his finger, Michelangelo style, also delights him.
Just back from Weekend Fun but Exhausting, Thomas really wanted us to watch him launch rockets.
“Mummy, watch this!”
“Again. Mummy. Again. Watch this!”
“Watch me.”
Ad nauseum.
One million hours later, I declined.
“MUUUMMMMMMEEEEEEEEE, WATCH ME!”
Then he looks at me deep-voiced and stern.
“Mummy. Look here,” pointing at the (blank) wall. “It’s a sign. Says, ‘Stop. You must watch rocket launchin.’ [...]
I just went shopping for lunch for 16 adults and 17 children (Nine 3.5-year olds, one 2-year old, four just/nearly 1-year olds, two 2-month olds, and a 6-week newborn). Sharing a house. For the weekend.

It’s been busy around here: work deadlines and sickness converged. We made it through a tough week and now have to ride out the exhausted aftermath.

If had been standing at the top of the stairs yesterday after bath time, you would have seen a short figure going down them. Draped in a pale duckling-yellow towel, arms stretched wide, with a hood covering his head, the figure breathily murmured,
“U’m a drakular. U’m a scarey drakular.”
